A private yacht anchored off a green coastline

The coast,
from the water.

Private charter or a small ship. The difference is who else is aboard, and we will be honest with you about which one suits you.

Our approach

A coastline read from the sea is a different country. You arrive at the village from the harbour side, you swim before breakfast, and the day is set by wind rather than by a departure board.

We charter with crew, we book the small ships that carry under two hundred, and we say plainly when a hotel on land would serve you better.

Half the people who ask me about a yacht should not charter one. Saying so is how the other half end up on the right boat.

Since 2010 I have planned journeys one at a time, which is the only way I know how to do it well. You will have my number for the whole trip, and it will be me who answers.
